My husband has had a vasectomy and we are researching reversals in order for us to conceive. We are in the Chicago area and the lowest price we’ve found is around $5000.00. I found a Dr. in Oklahoma who performs the reversal for only $1500.00!! I checked his background with the State Board and found that he has a great record with no disciplinary action or misconduct. I don’t want to jeapordize my husbands health, but the price is sooo low. Do you think you get what you pay for when it comes to reversals? Is the operation less effective just because the Dr. does not charge as much? What do you think?
Be careful about that. I’ve heard AWFUL stories about Dr. offering services (usually surgery) for low prices and the patient ends up having major issues. I would see if you can contact his past patients.
